​INTERSECTION is run on a non-commercial basis and engages two groups of artists – those who arrived in London from other parts of the world and those who have been in secure custody (prisons, secure hospitals, immigration centres, children's homes, etc.). It is a work space for organisations working for the benefit of those artists, aiming to reach a range of local and international audiences. It welcomes anyone wishing to take part in our activities – creative groups, digital development programmes, anti-discrimination initiatives and the like.

It serves as a point of sale for books and artworks produced by outsider artists, but can also be hired by other individuals and organisations to generate income to support the aims of the project itself.​
